With the most sports in HD, Directv wanted a way to distinguish itself from other providers sports offerings. The sports groups (internal and external) traditionally used stock photography for their promotional materials which did little to separate Directv from other providers. To stand out we designed the Moment of Impact campaign to capture epic moments of each sport and put the viewer in the middle of the action.
The creative needed to be able to support various marketing messages that could work within any medium.
In the past, each sports channel would design their own creative which caused a problem for brand recognition. The Moment of Impact campaign got all groups on the same page and served as a template for future updates. It also helped get Directv affiliate marketing programs in-line with the Directv brand.
